The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 to Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. I have always said, and will continue to say that children are the product of their surrounding. The only thing that i remember about my childhood while growing up in Liberia is when my grand mother took me to church, or whenever we were obligated to sit in at morning devotions. Once i got to America as a teenager, i faced many challenges adapting. No matter what i was going through, my biblical foundation placed in me as a child by my Grand mother in Liberia were always surfacing. My point to you is that, no one knows what tomorrow holds, and as parents there is no way of us knowing where our children will end up, but what we can do is to give them a sure foundation. This sure foundation is training them up in the word of God. Children are like a sponges, they suck up everything that is before them. I never blame children for anything negative that they do, because they had to have learned it from someone or something. As a Pastor, my 2 years old son can only do or practice what he sees me do daily, which is reading my bible, and preaching it. If we want to leave a sure inheritance for our children, i encourage you to take the time to teach them the bible daily, and to explain to them the importance of the man called Jesus Christ who will never leave them nor forsake them." It does not matter where life may take them, like myself and many others who were blessed to be taught by their parents the Bible, they will not depart from it. The word of God is a good seed that springs up at the time when the Sower has ordained everyone of His children before the foundation of the world. I see you buying your children their first Bible in Jesus name. Amen
