Walking the path of righteousness

What i have noticed being a Pastor of this church is that everyone wants to enjoy the benefits of this famous scripture in Isaiah 54:17-No weapon formed against thee shall prosper."Those who are quoting this scripture usually jump right over verse 14 of the same chapter which states"In righteousness shalt thou be established; thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear; and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. See, my brothers and sisters, we are serving the Lord Our Righteousness according Jeremiah 23:6 who is only please when we are right living before Him. I thank God that in Christ, we are made righteous, but now let us work along with our Redeemer and Refiner to develop godly character that will draw others to glorify Him in us. As we study the bible together, we will grow spiritually to live a Christlike lifestyle. When we strive to live right, God will be on our side, and when God is on our side, then we can proudly quote Isaiah 54:17-No weapon formed against us shall prosper in Jesus mighty name. Amen
