The Power of determination

I once read this text in Genesis 26:17-22 that strengthened my attitude to becoming a more determine person in life, and especially in ministry. Many times in life, your intentions will be a good one, but this does not stop Satan from being the spoiler that he is, "i call him miserable comforter" In this text, the servants of Isaac decided to dig a well, and in those days, water was the most important thing for these people living in a desert area. many of us have plans to accomplish things in our lives as these people did. In verse 20, as they dug the first well, their enemy came and refill this newly dug well. Because of this incident or attack from the enemy, they named this experience Esek=meaning contention. Regardless of this attack, they tried again, and their enemy came and did the same thing! they named the second attack Sitnah=meaning strife. How many of us can relate to this? When we are attacked daily as we try to accomplish our goals in life. Is like we cannot catch a break without being attack! This second attack did not stop these determined folks, they dug a third well, and in verse 22, the bible says their enemy strove not, meaning their enemy did not put up a fight. So they named this place Rehoboth=meaning wide places or God has made room."I want to encourage you that no matter what the difficulty is in your lives, don't give up, keep reading your bible, praying, and going to church, the secret is to tire out the devil spiritually, this is when God manifest our victory in Jesus name. Verse 22, they named the place Rehoboth saying"For the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. "May this be our portion in Jesus name as we display determiniation in our walk with the Lord.
